They apply to visitors who browse the Website, review educational or professional information, download resources or send preliminary enquiries.
Using the Website is distinct from purchasing a BETU service. An enquiry or use of general website materials does not, by itself, create a paid service agreement. Separately agreed paid work is governed by the written quotation or agreement and BETU's Service Terms. Where mandatory law gives a visitor additional rights, these Website Terms do not remove those rights.

About BETU
BETU provides information and enquiry pathways relating to bachelor's and master's degree programmes, Chinese-language studies, university applications, study planning, study tours and educational visits, internships and professional learning opportunities, executive programmes, Custom Business Visits, organisational partnerships, and arrival or ongoing student support where offered.
The scope, availability, location, timing, eligibility and delivery arrangements of a particular service or programme are confirmed separately. Website descriptions should not be understood as a commitment that every service is available for every applicant, organisation, city or programme.
Institutions, programme hosts, public authorities and other third parties make their own decisions. A reference to an institution or opportunity on the Website does not, without separate verification, establish a formal partnership or guarantee access, acceptance or any outcome.

BETU aims to make the Website useful and understandable. However, information about universities, admission criteria, tuition, living costs, scholarships, study routes, visa and residence matters, accommodation, internships, business visits and other programmes is general and may change. Website content is not an official determination of admission, scholarship entitlement, visa or residence permission, employment, internship placement, accommodation availability, access to a company or professional meeting, or any investment or commercial outcome. The relevant university, authority, host or other decision-maker controls its own requirements and decisions.
Before making a material financial, educational, travel or professional commitment, visitors should verify current requirements with the relevant institution or authority and obtain personalised written confirmation where appropriate. Nothing here limits BETU's responsibility to perform its own expressly agreed services with reasonable care.

Enquiries and Free Resources
Visitors may submit general enquiries, request information and use free resources made available on the Website. Submitting a form, exchanging preliminary messages or receiving general guidance does not create a paid contract or guarantee that BETU will accept an engagement.
The free Eligibility Check provides an initial, indicative planning assessment based on information supplied by the visitor. It is not a university admissions decision, an official equivalency assessment, a visa decision or a guarantee of scholarship eligibility. Individual requirements and qualifications may need further review.
The Study in China Guide is offered as a free resource. Accessing the guide or making an enquiry is separate from any optional consent to receive marketing or programme updates. Optional marketing preferences do not determine whether a visitor may request the free resource.

Accuracy of Visitor Information

BETU may request clarification or verification and may decline to proceed with an enquiry or proposed service where the information or authority provided cannot reasonably be verified.

Permitted Website Use
Visitors may use the Website for lawful personal, educational, informational and legitimate professional purposes. They should use the Website and its enquiry channels in a way that respects other users, BETU and the security of the service.

BETU does not represent that every Website feature will remain continuously available or that all published information will remain unchanged. Visitors should contact BETU if a critical enquiry appears not to have been received.
Changes to a webpage or general information do not automatically amend an existing, accepted service quotation or signed agreement. Those arrangements remain subject to their agreed terms and applicable law.

Pricing and Promotions
Prices, budgets, examples and service descriptions displayed on the Website are introductory information unless the applicable amount and scope have been confirmed to the visitor in writing. The written quotation or agreement establishes the relevant BETU service fee, included work, applicable promotions, payment conditions and other agreed commercial terms.
BETU may offer conditional discounts of up to 40% and a qualifying paired-application promotion under which the second applicant's BETU service fee may be waived. These benefits are subject to the stated eligibility criteria, programme and service scope, promotional validity and written confirmation. They are not automatic entitlements.
Promotions normally apply only to BETU's own eligible service fees. They do not automatically reduce tuition, government charges, accommodation, visa costs or other fees payable to third parties. Offers are not automatically combined: the best eligible offer normally applies unless BETU expressly confirms a different arrangement in writing.

BETU currently arranges service payments by bank transfer rather than through an integrated Website checkout. Payment, cancellation and refund provisions for an accepted service are explained in the Service Terms and applicable written arrangements.

Website Security and Communications
Visitors should exercise appropriate care when receiving messages or payment instructions that appear to come from BETU. Where bank-transfer details are unusual, have changed unexpectedly or appear inconsistent, verify them independently through a BETU contact channel that you already trust before making any payment.
BETU does not request online-banking passwords through its ordinary Website enquiry forms. Visitors should avoid sending sensitive financial credentials or unnecessary identification documents through general contact forms.
Depending on the enquiry and any agreed arrangements, communications may take place by email, telephone, WhatsApp, WeChat or other agreed channels. Where personal information is involved, the Privacy Policy provides additional information about how it is handled.

Children and Young People
BETU's adult Study in China service pathways are principally intended for individuals aged 18 or older. Website materials may be read by a wider audience, but the availability of general information does not expand the age scope of any particular programme or service.
Enquiries involving a child under 14 should be made or led by a parent or legal guardian. Visitors aged 14 to 17 may request limited general educational guidance, subject to appropriate involvement of a parent or guardian where the circumstances require it.
More detailed application processing, disclosure of personal information and contractual arrangements for a person under 18 may require guardian authorisation and additional safeguards in accordance with applicable law and programme-specific requirements. BETU will not treat a minor's initial enquiry as automatic approval for an adult service.

Responsibility and Liability
General Website information is not a binding offer made by a university, public authority or other independent institution. Admissions, scholarships, visas, residence permissions, placements, accommodation availability, access to external organisations and commercial decisions remain subject to the rules and decisions of the responsible third parties.
BETU remains responsible for performing its own expressly agreed contractual obligations with reasonable care and for any responsibility imposed on it by applicable law. Where a claim concerns BETU's own acts or omissions, its responsibility is determined by the relevant facts, any applicable written agreement and mandatory legal requirements.
Nothing in these Website Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing in these terms waives mandatory statutory consumer protections or remedies.

Governing Law and Disputes
These Website Terms are governed by the laws of mainland China, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection provisions, jurisdictional requirements and conflict-of-laws rules that apply to the circumstances.
Visitors with a concern about Website use are encouraged first to contact BETU at info@beijingexploreunknown.com so the issue can be reviewed and an appropriate resolution explored.
Disputes may be addressed before courts in mainland China having competent jurisdiction, unless applicable mandatory law gives the visitor the right to use another forum or requires a different procedure. These Website Terms do not purport to waive statutory rights.

Changes and Severability
BETU may revise these Website Terms prospectively when Website operations, published information, legal requirements or relevant practices change. Publishing revised Website Terms does not automatically amend a previously accepted service quotation or agreement. Changes to those arrangements are governed by the relevant written terms and applicable law.
